Dave has an extraordinary background in electrical work, electrical safety and safety leadership.  After successful completion of the IBEW Electrical Apprenticeship he earned the title of Journeyman Electrician for Oregon and Washington. As a Journeyman Electrician he worked on a wide range of electrical projects in both states including heavy industrial and data centers, large and small commercial projects, hospitals, medical clinics, schools, mixed use structures, electrical service calls, residential facilities and homes. In many of these projects he led crews of varying sizes, successfully meeting tight deadlines and doing so within budget. Dave became a safety instructor at the NECA-IBEW Electrical Training Center (NIETC) in 2003 as well as an OSHA Authorized Instructor and he continues to actively teach electrical safety and OSHA 10 & 30. To improve and increase his safety knowledge, he studied safety at the Universities of Tennessee and Michigan to augment his many years of field experience and gained the title of IBEW Master Instructor. In 2009 he turned his focus to electrical and job site safety and has been a safety director for three electrical contractors. He is a member of numerous safety organizations and committees. To further broaden his safety knowledge and experience he joined a general contractor in 2018 and progressed their safety culture helping lower their injury/incident, insurance rates and EMR rates. He enjoys consulting and empowering companies and individuals by assisting them using coaching, mentoring and training to adopt safe work practices and cultures so that everyone can return home safely at the end of their shifts.
