Ever since joining G.E.W. llc in 2005, Bill has been a part of our expert-witness division, and provides construction site visits with leading indicator scoring and effective near-miss program procedures. Bill also excels at completing client safety audits, assessments, and training. Lastly, Bill is a large part of helping set up project safety consultants for projects and is the current Senior Partner for G.E.W. LLC.

Bill started by going through a carpenter apprenticeship and then working as an operator in Local 701 in Portland, Oregon. Bill has taken several classes at Central Washington University, earned the BCSP’s Construction Health & Safety Technician certification (CHST), and attended business classes at Portland Community College. Additionally, Bill has earned a Certificate pertaining to Environmental, Safety & Hazardous Materials Management from Mt. Hood Community College, as well as the Associate in Risk Management (ARM) certification. In addition to all of the college courses and other certifications Bill has earned over the years, he has taken many train the trainer courses related to OSHA trainer for construction (500) and general industry (501), rigging, fall protection, excavation, confined space and scaffolding, just to name a few. Bill is also a presenter for OSHA through University of Washington and a regular presenter at the GOSH conference.

As a wise man once said, “There is no substitute for experience”. Bill’s professional experience ranges from owning a construction company, W.G. Wood Construction Company, to Corporate Safety Director for PSF Industries, as well as Safety Management Supervisor for Argonaut Insurance in the Wrap-Up Division. With such a wide variety of experience in the corporate world as well as owning a business, Bill has proven to be a key member of G.E.W. LLC
