No matter how tough you think your life is there’s always someone who has to face challenges that are even tougher than yours. … Giving back is among the most important and valuable things we can do to grow our society.  G.E.W.llc, our Partners and our staff give back to our communities thought various volunteer groups, non-profit organizations, safety trade associations, charities, local collages with EHS educational programs some of which are highlighted below.  Weather it’s volunteering our time at events, making monetary donations or teaching pro bono at local collages and high schools; we are proud to support our community.

 

Central Washington University’s Safety Health Management

A graduate of CWU safety program, Managing Partner Brian Clarke and his wife Betsy Established the Clarke endowment to support students in the SHM program.  Since the fund’s establishment the Clarke’s have donated over $25,000 to CWU safety program. G.E.W.llc partners and staff are encouraged to participate in a 100% matching by Clarke for all donations made to CWU Clarke Endowment.

 

Construction Safety Summit

Several G.E.W.llc Partners support the mission of the Constructions Safety Summit  www.constructionsafetysummit.com  both in donation of time and monies to promote the CSS mission.  CSS is a non-profit organization whose main undertaking is a monthly forum of construction safety professionals to promote construction safety’s best practices, lessons learned and technical educational programs.   G.E.W.llc is a finical sponsor of CSS supporting the organizations secondary mission of paying for members continuing education and supporting the EHS programs at OR State University, My Hood Community College and Central Washington university.  G.E.W.llc Partner Clark Vermillion is the current Steering Committee Chairman.

 

Construction Industry Crime Prevention Program

Managing Partner Brian Clarke is a founding and current Board of Director for the Construction Industry Crime Prevention Program.  CICPP is an Oregon non-profit organization working toward the prevention and reduction of theft and vandalism on residential and commercial construction sites in the Pacific Northwest region.

ASSE is the world’s oldest and largest association of safety professionals.   G.E.W.llc partners and staff have decades of service to the promotion of the ASSE and its mission.  G.E.W.llc Partners have served in many National, regional and local officer positions and committees.   G.E.W.llc Partners whom have served as Chapter Presidents included: Bill Wood, Wes Lashbrook, Clark Vermillion, Brian Clarke and Bruce Poinsette who has served multiple terms as Chapter president.  Clarke also served as a Board of Director for ASSE.

The Oregon SHARP Alliance is made up of Oregon employers who currently hold SHARP or VPP status, companies working to achieve SHARP or VPP certification and others who want to promote safety and health in the workplace.  Partner Duane Grange is an active member of Sharp and has supported sharing best practices within Oregon amount Sharp members to reduce employee injuries throughout the state.
